Best selling Author and owner of No2abuse, Teresa Cooper, has quit Twitter X after 17 years when the social media platform targeted her account on a regular basis but not for violation of any rules. The decision to de-activate the account on July 3rd 2026 came out of frustration at the continued rubbish on her timeline.
It turned into a full scale deletion after X suspended the account two weeks into the deactivation for violating the rules when the authors account was deactivated and unused.
Its a mystery how a rule can be violated when the account wasn’t active.
Twitter X fully deleted the account @Teresacooper making it impossible to reactivate or question the false violation of rules. They suspended it in space.
X originally ghosted the account on a regular basis and flooded it with the subscription options of which none were taken up.
My take on it. Teresa Cooper.
Why would I spend my money on the Twitter X platform when my reasonably good photography is lucky if it gets one hit? The majority of my tweets were lost in cyber space.
Every post was probably floating around on the back of Elon Musks satellites because they weren’t seen on Twitter.
The site has changed since I first joined in 2009. It used to be fun and then it was flooded out by politics and people who enjoyed being horrible, porn bots and plenty of paedophiles. It hasn’t been a nice place for quite a while. When Elon Musk took over the social media platform changed. Most hits were the Church of England payroll staff and groupie survivors who screen cap my tweets. The tweets along with their comments feature in my SARs requests to the CofE. They appeared to be the main users watching my account. I see no point in paying for that dribble when I can be more effective using my website no2abuse. My timeline was bombarded with the far left and it was clearly steering people.
The email I received from X Twitter when I questioned the issues with my account was even more bizarre.
My X Twitter account is the email address for my @teresacooper Twitter X account. The same email address the support team were replying to and they claim isnt the one im reaching out about. Why would they reply to my regular email address if I had used another email address to contact them about?
I quit that ridiculous drama.
Here I am. Why have a website thats well past its infancy and is now one of the longest standing abuse sites in the UK. First set up in 2006 its now in its 20th year.
I will now start blogging on a regular basis and using my own platform to share my experiences.
In the last 4 weeks without Twitter X I haven’t missed it at all. Bombarded with negative posts it soon became all doom and gloom. There was only a handful of followers I had regular interaction with and they are the only ones I miss.
I personally couldn’t give a damn about not having Twitter X and its done me a huge favour not being on there. Now I can get my voice seen and heard on my own website no2abuse
Goodbye X Twitter. You will not be missed.
Now the Church of England and others can stalk and screencap my website which will keep them busy.

I also as ‘Islington Survivors Network’ quit X a while ago as it was all so toxic.
Islington Council cut all our funding and the funding for the Trauma Service and Support Service which was a big shock for the hundreds of survivors who valued these services. We are carrying on and not so many new survivors are coming forward now. Over 450 survivors got the 10,000 support payment and those who could pursue a civil claim now are doing just that. There has been no development on convictions. I counted 24 police ‘operations’ I’ve been involved with regarding the Islington child abuse scandal in 30 years!

Im sorry to hear about the Islington cuts. It will have a detrimental effect on survivors and yourself who rely on those services and you who fought hard for.
The 10k was an achievement to get it for so many but Islington didn’t go far enough. To make survivors go through the legal system which will continue to impact their lives is shocking.
It seems to be how those people operate. Its almost formality. The Church of England put up a support line for Kendall House survivors and then took it away.
24 police operations is a staggering number yet I feel the police around the country including Kent police never learn from their mistakes.
Re X. There were nice people on there who I miss engaging with but I don’t miss Twitter. Im so ill now that I am trying to enjoy real life and all its quirks. X was so negative and I felt like I was being sucked into a world of darkness when I needed to see the light. Ive won 2 legal cases in the last year and spending my time surviving the unsurvivable. Mobility is a serious issue for me now and pain is an understatement.
The next battle is the Church of England main redress scheme. Some of the questionable survivor? groupies and safeguarding deliberately excluded Kendall House drugging from the scheme. It is not going to be made an easy route for proper compensation and I can not understand why proven cases that are backed up with solid evidence are being made to go through yet another trial to get fair compensation. If it was fair Kennedys would look at cases like mine and not force us into the same processes the Church forced on us so many times. Its designed to break us and they do not care if I or others who are physically ill die during that process. It is a church full of wicked people who enjoy our suffering.
We have to keep fighting when we should be at a time in our lives where we should be given peace.
I remember when we first met. It was decades ago. We have come a long way and its had a major impact on our lives.
