To find love
A poem I wrote when i was thinking about single life and finding my ideal partner
I needed someone to hold and feel safe
I knew sooner or later you’d be there
I’d meet you one day, somewhere, some place
I knew you would hold me and care
I know you’re limited in the love you give
Though it doesn’t scare me at all
I just need you around someone to be with
Even though I may look like a fool
I know I’m foolish in things I have done
I know I can’t change my past
See it from my side I don’t trust anyone
But I don’t always want to come last
A few caring words, a hug and a kiss
A little respect on the way
I know it’s something I really miss
If you want to I’ll call it a day
Sex isn’t everything believe me I know
Though it’s something I’d like to share
To feel your warmth, to make me glow
Now and then I don’t think is unfair
I do have feelings I’m very intense
I show love, affection and pain
One day I know you will find me
And know you’ve a lot to gain
