RAF airman sentenced over child porn

A Crown Court has been told RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire is
awash with pornography.
The revelation came during the trial of airman, James Poole
who’s been sentenced to 18 months prison for child pornography
offences.

Teeside Crown Court heard how Ministry of Defence police
raided Poole’s room at RAF Leeming the day before he left the
RAF.
They found pornographic pictures of young girls on his
computer.
Poole’s defence team claimed the images had been planted there
by his former girlfriend.
But the jury found him guilty of 11 out of 12 counts of taking
indecent photographs of children.
Poole was ordered to sign on the sex offenders register for
seven years and sentenced to 18 months.
At the trial a detective constable from the Ministry of
Defence computer crime unit supported an allegation by the
defence counsel who claimed there was a mass of ordinary
pornography at RAF Leeming.
