Peadophile Gordon Boon found murdered in woodland
Gordon Boon was found dead in Great Witchingham, Norfolk, on Monday.
Post mortem tests revealed he died from strangulation.
He was reportedly found with blood on his face under a pile of fence panels.
Police are said to be investigating the theory that the killing may have been a revenge attack.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are following up a number of lines of inquiry.”
Mr Boon was last seen alive near to the Maid’s Head Hotel, in Norwich, on October 3.
The 73-year-old was jailed for six years in 2001 after being convicted of sex offences against young girls.
The Norwich Evening News reported that the pensioner plied a 13-year-old victim with alcohol and persuaded her to play strip poker and pose for pornographic Polaroid pictures.
He was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life after admitting two offences of indecent assault and two serious sex offences against one girl, two indecent assaults on a second girl and one indecent assault on a third.
The other offences were committed against another 13-year-old and an eight-year-old.
