My social worker pal is suicidal - Baby-P
Mum-of-two Ward, 39 — who claimed the tot was “well” four days before his death — confessed to her friend of ten years: “The only thing keeping me going is my children.
“I keep thinking back to the last time I saw that baby and wishing I had spotted something.” The friend said Maria has now shut herself away at home and refuses to answer the door.
She said: “She is terribly upset over everything that has been said about her.
“She does feel guilty about the baby’s death. They were clever at hiding what they were doing.
“She is going to be feeling suicidal. I hope she doesn’t do anything stupid.”
She added: “Maria is a wonderful mum. And she loved her job.”
