Doctor admits child porn charges A former GP has admitted downloading hundreds of child porn images.

Kevin Griffiths was arrested after his office at the Palmer Community Hospital in Jarrow was raided by police in June last year.

Appearing at Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday, the 49-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing 362 indecent photographs of children.

Griffiths, who resigned from his job, was granted bail and will be sentenced next month.
