Why am I taking this stance? Because what happened at Kendall House was abuse and nothing can change that or excuse it. Kent police have failed every girl by refusing to deal with the severe abuse which included forced and deliberate overdosing of psychotropic drugs. The staff/nurses have no right to hide behind their excuse that they were ordered to do it by Dr M.S Perinpanayagam. They knew it was wrong. If someone tells you to murder someone, would you do it knowing it was wrong? Most rational thinking people would say no. Hitlers men were prosecuted for their part in the abuse and deaths of so many. They couldn’t hide behind the excuse they were ordered to do it. They done it because it was their choice just as it was Kendall House staffs choice. Abuse is abuse There should be no exceptions to the rule Kent police did not deal with the forced overdosing of young girls in care because it was in their opinion it was “normal” when they at no stage sought the girls files or expert medical advice which led their personal opinions to flout the law of justice and see all the staff walk away from their part in the abuse of so many girls. I will start by naming Mrs Vola (Viola as some know her) Tapping who knowingly took part in the severe overdosing and dangerous restraints of girls in Kendall House. Mrs Tapping was also known under the nick name of Tilly or Mrs T. This woman was a part time biology teacher to the girls and later went on to run Kendall House. The staff member the BBC talked to in the interview (seen in link below) is Mrs Tapping. We were not very disturbed girls at all and most of the staff who were pregnant or had young children often brought them into Kendall House. They often took certain girls to their homes. Would you bring in young children or pregnant staff members to work where there were “very disturbed” girls?
