Petition for an Enquiry into Kendall House Abuse - Please Sign

By Kate | 7th Apr 2009 | in

Owned by the Church of England.

Wandsworth Social Services knowingly placed Teresa Cooper into a home they knew was a concern.

Kent Police she says failed to investigate the abuse at Kendall House in any meaningful way and only interviewed two of the girls out of several that contacted them and the rest were ignored and Kent Police didnt even ring them back to acknowledge them.

my name is jeannette oliver, i was also in kendall house in the 70;s i was also drugged and abused. I was 11/12 years old. The youngest person there.  The welfare , as they were called then must have known the reputation of the place, the bars at the windows would have been a good indication of the type of place it was.I have never been able to forget about that place, I was so young I didnt even realise they were drugging me. This message should be a wake up call to all those social workers, who placed vulnerable children in that place.  Call them selves a church run childrens home HA; more like the devil.

    Dear Jeanette
I have just finished reading ‘Pin Down’ which is what brought me to this site.
Seeing your posting made it even more real, i’m about your age, and luckily had a happy childhood, as we all deserve to, I know I couldnt have survived what you all did, I really wish you every good thing and happiness in life, You should be so proud to have got through that.
