MY BROKEN FAMILY..
ON. 19th may 2006.
My one year old granddaughter was snatched by the local authority attending the property were three police officers and two social workers. for legal reasons i cant give the names of the said social workers. as much as i would like to expose them and their corruption.
I received a phone call by my then 16 year old daughter, she was sobbing and begging for help. the only words i could understand were.” mum their going to take her” my granddaughter was one at the time. very much loved and wanted. but born to young parents. that was their only crime. their age.
When i arrived the two social workers were inside the property. the police officers were out side the door. my daughter and granddaughter were in the bedroom. I could hear one of the social workers shouting at my daughter to hand over the baby.
With in seconds of entering the bedroom i had a social worker in my face screaming ” we`re taking her” I asked on what grounds.. the social worker still screaming at me said “its not good enough” i asked what wasn`t.
she just kept screaming in my face we`re taking her.. i held my granddaughter and said no your not. they are coming home with me.. a police officer was now stood in the bedroom doorway he started to approach me. i said ” im holding this child tightly if you try to remove her from my arms you are going to hurt her and i will have you in court for child abuse. at this he backed off.
one of the social workers left the room, and the other called me white estate trash.
the social workers pulled her out of my arms. and rushed off before i had chance to do anything she was gone…
Two of the police officers returned a short while later.. one of them saying if she had spoken to me like that she would of been picking herself up off the floor !
the police officer told me to get a copy of the social workers call to the police station. as what was called in, wasn`t what they attended..
with in half an hour of the police leaving one of the social workers returned with another social worker i hadn`t seen before..
she had a scrap of paper with a phone number written on it, she said wheres your daughter. by this time i had arranged for my daughter to go to my house.. so i was alone in the property with two social workers
she pushed a A4 sized form across the coffee at me and stated we want this signed by your daughter. it was an agreement for them to take my granddaughter in to care..
some thing that should of been signed before the removal, as they had turned up without any court paperwork allowing them to remove the child.. this was their first unlawful mistake !
Friday afternoon/evenings are well known by all the McKenzie`s as baby snatch day.. as social services know the families can not legal advice of help untill monday morning, but which time the social services have all their legal team in place.
It was a terrible weekend for us with so many heart breaking tears.
Monday morning i went to see a solicitor and explained what had happened and about the meeting social services had arranged for the family at their offices in kidderminster.
going in to that room was a shock. my daughter was in such a terrible state she was forced to stay at my home..
i walked in with my legal to find a room full of people. my granddaughters father was there with his parents.. along with a chair person two social workers and a couple of other faces i didnt know..
the chair person started to speak.And lost me with in seconds.. thankfully i had a solicitor with me who knew what was going on. she spoke to the chair person who had just stated my granddaughter father hadnt know about her removal untill this morning..
my solicitor stated that if father hadnt know about the removal and mother hand signed anything and the police hadnt used their powers of protection. my granddaughter was being held illegally and should there for be returned to her mother right away..
the chair person must of realized they had made another big mistake as he asked for my granddaughters father along with his mother and father to step in to another room.. i called after him “dont sign anything”
It was only later i found out that he had indeed signed the form giving social services consent to hold her in their care… some thing that was exposed in court and ignored by the judge.!!
im sorry i have to stop here as its getting to painful to write and im hurt and getting angry and i dont want to fill this with anger only truth and facts…

so very sad to read your ” my broken family ” letter, my heart is with you so badly , its so unfair what the authorities can do , and while they continue to rip our families apart we will just be another sad story about how ss let us down, failed us .

I really want to be able to finish this story. i want people to know how my family was torn to pieces, the damage done that can never be repaired. and the lies told by these so called professionals.. the corruption with in the legal system. and the courts…
ss really are a law unto them selves..
I will try to continue, but please be patient with me as its such a painful story to write x
