I want to say thankyou to Delma for all the hard work she has put into siblings united and for the dedication she has shown in getting Siblings United started and doing well. Delma is a care leaver who has dedicated her life to care leavers, vunerable children and survivors of abuse. She has been involved in other projects including CLA, care leavers association.
I would like to personally thank Delma for all her support

Hi Delma
I felt very alone when bringing up my children and because my siblings and I were seperated most of the time in care it affected us later in life especially as a parent because the role of auntie’s and uncles are often broken from being in care because the family bond has been severed. That seperation appears in later life and when a care leaver goes onto be a parent it is hard to re-establish the bond with their siblings and provide the family unit that those not from the care system benefit from.
