Natasha Phillips: Contributing Writer

Natasha is a single mother who went through the family courts for her divorce. The process was so savage that she took to studying the structure of the system to take her mind and her heart off her own case in a bid to attempt avoiding what seemed like unhealthy amounts of stress bought on for the most part by an uncaring and corporate family justice system.
Having qualified many moons ago as a barrister, her training allowed her to look at the system, not just as a mother and soon to be ex-wife, but also as a lawyer. What she discovered was so shocking that after setting up Divorce Manual, which started out life just as a blog to get the anxiety of two years of hardship in the courts out of her system, she decided to collect as much information as she could about the family courts and share it.
Today, she writes articles about the problems in the system, does interviews with professionals and individuals all exposed to and part of the family justice system and posts the latest news and resources available.
Natasha campaigns for change to try to urge the system to be more informed and efficient, writes articles for No2Abuse and has had some of her work featured by legal websites such as JD Supra, Insite Law Magazine and Family Lore Focus. She is also a family law correspondent for Radio Wey.
In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her son, reading and swimming. And she likes nothing better than getting up to lots of mischief.
