We are revising the entire suite of Children Act 1989 Regulations and guidance, including Guidance on the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000, to meet the new duties inserted into the Children Act 1989 by the Children and Young Persons Act 2008 and respond to the commitments to transform outcomes for looked after children and care leavers set out in the White Paper “Care Matters”.
This consultation aims to review these changes in policy with the public, and solicit your opinions and ideas. Click on the pictures to the right to view and comment directly on the proposals, to answer our consultation questions, or to share this consultation with others.
