Inspärrad av Teresa Cooper = Locked Up by Teresa Cooper. Book of the Month October 2008

31st Oct 2008 | in Child Abuse

This is the story of a young girl who becomes exploited and abused both physically and mentally, and how the girl fought back to become the survivor she is today.
Locked up is a story from real life that frightens and disgusts. Teresa Cooper, author of Locked up, was for many years locked up in Kendall House - a treatment that is often employed by social services
Except that she was locked up, she was also regularly drugged and forced medicated in large overdoses, mentally, physically and sexually abused.
Internetbokklubben has chosen it as their månadsbok (book of the month) for October.

OMG this book was amazing. I cannot believe the suffering Teresa went through, It is a disgrace, I found myself so angry at times in this book i had to stop reading it. Teresa is such an amzing person to be so strong and get on with her life after these awful things happend to her. I wish her and her children the best of luck in life. Teresa is such an insperation to people who have sufferd abuse.

There are many admirable people on this earth, and theresa you are one of them, good luck in all you do, the human race has many inhuman people in it sadly,  and when they dont care about children, then perhaps human is not a word to describe who they are.
