I read that he performed this in 2002 just before his 11th birthday. Watching his peformaance bought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat - but I don’t know if it was the singer or the song. I would like to know who actually wrote the lyrics. Anyone know?

Declan didn’t write the song - Ian Mack and Barry Mason did. Declan just sang it beautifully.
